Coupling the parallel servers

After installation, parallel servers must be paired up once with each other. Tokens are automatically created and exchanged between the two servers in the parallel server network.

By default, the pairing takes place automatically when the two servers connect for the first time.

Parallel servers that are not yet paired with each other are executed in pairing mode.

Both pairing and execution in pairing mode are displayed as messages in the Windows Event Viewer.

To which parallel server a permanent connection exists, can be viewed in the server archive in the file VD$A\Configuration\Local\AccessTokens.txt.

Example entry:

256B5E00B195618809B68AA0DDC4A6EDC9124BC78669F6F42268822FA083D479;Admin;192.168.1.145 [30/Sep/2020:13:59:49 +0200] "VDOGPARALLELSERVERB" (parallelserver paired)"

The entry consists of the following columns:

The token with which the server can log onto the remote parallel server for synchronization is also located in the server archive in the file: VD$A\Configuration\Local\NamedTokens\ParallelServer.
